I am super excited to share this article with you. I have been sick and had to stay warm – and home for almost 10 days. Feeling a bit better, I am back to my computer, selecting my favorite pictures and now, sharing with you my favorite spots of Edinburgh to have a coffee, a sweet break or a Japanese dinner. We are almost in March, and are getting closer to summer but if you are planning a weekend trip in Scotland’s capital, I have something for you!
I already posted an article about this magic city. I do love the grey weather, buildings that led me to “the past” don’t you feel the same? if you haven’t checked it, here is the article about Edinburgh with my top 5 things to do!
But a city guide would not be one without talking about food so… Here is a couple of places I did like on my trip there and I would recommend you to go to! Ready?
Address: 11 Waterloo Pl, Edinburgh EH1 3BG, Royaume-Uni.
Opening hours: Every day from 7.30am to 5pm
On my article about Edinburgh, I already wrote about this coffee shop where you can find the bathroom tagged with expressions of Love for J.K Rowling as it is the “birth place” of Harry Potter. Unfortunately, I don’t have any pictures of what I ordered there… but may your curiosity be big enough to go.
Is the place my friend and I chose to have a brunch in Edinburgh. The least we can say is that we were not disappointed. And you can even get scones for breakfast!
My friend Georgie brought me to Wagamama which is a chain of restaurants in UK. It is inspired by the Japanese cuisine. It was quite busy (and snowing!) when we were there. The food was good so we recommend… except if you want to try a local place, obviously! (the two pictures illustrating don’t do it justice, check their website instead!)
5. Bella Italia For a sweet break or yummy dessert!
You’ll fall in love with their display of cakes. I had the best peanut butter brownie EVER. LoveCrumbs, if ever you pass by here, know that I would pay for your recipe. You can follow them on Instagram @hellolovecrumbs.
