Getaway in Barcelona

I would say one of the main advantage to live in France is that you can travel from places to places by plane, train, car, or even bus – depending on the distance – but still, it is pretty easy. When you get a few days off, you can check the last minute offers and find good deals.

In the end of October, I felt like I needed a few days off to travel by my own. I was looking for a sunny, dynamic and close place from where I live, Marseille.

I chose Barcelona to enjoy my free time and I didn’t regret it.

Here are some of my favorite pictures I took in the capital of Catalunya. Hopefully, you will get some ideas of things to do and places to visit.

Yes, it was actually Barcelona. Not Los Angeles.

Paella x Sangria. Spanish specialities.
I was nearly on a date with Obama but then I realized I haven’t seen the beach La Barceloneta. It is all about priorities. He looks busy anyway…

I love meetings that lead me to friends x tapas. Carola is Italian and was my neighbor in Melbourne. She is studying as well as her friends who are all international students (french, russian, colombian…).

This has nothing to do with Barcelona. But – Anywhere in the world you can find pancakes for breakfast. And I can be happy for real. #Sweettooth

La Sagrada Familia
Park Güell – An essential. You can visit the Gaudi Museum and having an amazing view of the city.

Barcelona is a big, beautiful and cosmopolitan city. If you want to have fun, to discover a new culture and still stay on a budget, I do recommend Barcelona. There is always something to do, to see and to eat. Have fun!
